Where can I get a User Manual and helpful operating videos for my Volta System?
Go to the Volta Power Systems website and click on the “Support” tab.
Scroll down the page and you’ll find operating videos.
Further down the page you’ll find links to “Download Volta Manuals”.
You will have one of two systems.
The VIP-VSP SYSTEM
or
The FLEX SYSTEM
You can tell what you have a couple of different ways:
1. In most cases, vehicles manufactured in 2021 or before have a VIP or VSP System.
In most cases that system will have an On/Off button and an SOC gauge adjacent to it and no display screen. That will be a VIP-VSP system for sure.
But some later versions in the 2021 or 2022 model year will have a display screen instead of the SOC gauge and those could be either system.
You can identify your system based on unique and visible features.
For example, Flex Systems often include touchscreen controls and a unique On/Off pushbutton. The pushbutton on a Flex System is a “one-position” button and returns to a level position with its bezel after you turn on the System. If you have a two-position pushbutton, meaning the pushbutton remains depressed or “sunken” after you turn on your Volta System, then you likely have a VIP-VSP System.
2. If you have the “Component Worksheet” for you van it will show the model and serial number for the “Lithium Power Pack”
- Serial Numbers starting with VV are Flex.
- Serial Numbers starting with VF are non-Flex

What outlets are powered by the inverter on a Travato 59G or 59K and how long can it run? What do I do if they are not powered?
Beginning with the 2019 model year WGO added a 1,000 watt inverter to the 59G and 59K.
It powers the following outlets:
59G
TV
Over the dinette
Over the bed.
59K
TV
At the foot of the airline table
On the side of the driver’s bed
Beginning with the 2020.5 model year the inverter ALSO powers the 120v outlet near the roof access port.
AS OF THE 2022 model year the 59G outlet at the dinette was moved from above to below the dinette.
AS OF THE 2022 model year the 59K outlet behind the passenger seat was eliminated.
You will want to remember to keep the inverter turned OFF when not on shore power or plugged in when not using the TV or the specified outlets as there is a phantom draw from the inverter even when it is not being used.
NOTE: Since there is a transfer switch built in to the inverter ALL of the 120v outlets in your Travato are powered when the T is plugged in to shore power or running the generator without having to turn the inverter on.
TROUBLESHOOTING IF THE OUTLETS ARE NOT POWERED:
If you are not plugged in or running the generator and you have turned on the inverter but no power is at the designated outlets then it’s possible that the GFCI on the side of the inverter needs to be re-set. The GFCI is on the side of the inverter itself. Consult the Winnebago electrical drawings for your model year to locate the inverter. In a K it may be necessary to take the top off of the passenger bed to get at it (mainly in the 2020 and 2021 model years).

Do I need an inverter?
That depends on what you’re trying to operate. If you need to operate 120v appliances without running a generator or being plugged in to shore power, an inverter will do that. Many Travato owners travel with portable inverters to run small appliances. They will NOT be able to run your microwave or air conditioner, though. Inverters capable of running your air conditioner or microwave are large and expensive. Their installation in very involved and requires professionals to do it.
While we don’t recommend one specific brand of portable inverters, you can see a list of 12v inverters on Amazon HERE.
It should be noted that using a too-large portable inverter would blow the fuse. DO NOT USE a portable inverter rated for more watts than the circuit you’re plugging it into. (If you don’t know what that means, don’t use one.)
Do I need a surge protector?
It’s a smart practice to have a surge protector plugged in between your rig and the power outlet. Better safe than sorry!
Is it a good idea to be plugged in continuously when home in the driveway or should you go unplugged occasionally?
The information here applies only to units powered with AGM batteries – it does not apply to Lithium powered units.
This varies depending on your situation.
This question is really about the battery life. Keeping it plugged in continuously won’t hurt anything, and will definitely keep the batteries charged. It’s important to keep the batteries full or near full all the time. If it’s summer and your rig is out in the sun, chances are the solar panels are keeping your batteries topped off so keeping it plugged in is overkill. If you live in a cold climate, you especially want to make sure your batteries are always fully charged. AGM batteries can freeze when discharged, resulting in cracking, and thus destroying them. Your choices are:
1. Stay unplugged AND power down the coach with the battery disconnect.
2. Keep it plugged in, and leave the battery disconnect ON, so that the batteries are connected and will be charged by the converter/charger.
The converter/charger in the Travato is a multi-level charger, and includes programming to condition the batteries daily.
