Check the cord tension (runs along top and bottom of screen) to make sure there is a little ‘play’ in it. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the screw in the track to adjust the tension. They should NOT ‘twang’ when you pluck them. Keep the track lubed with a PTFE spray lubricant such as WD-40 Dry Lube. It’s also important to get in the habit of opening the screen door gently and slowly, and grasping it in just the right spot…which tends to be the mid-point region. If you grab it too high, it’s more vulnerable to coming off track.
